About Charles Darwin University:

Charles Darwin University’s headquarters are in a unique part of Australia: in country that is home to the world’s oldest living culture and on the southern rim of Asia. Our geographical location informs much of our research and teaching interests in South-East Asia, Northern Australia and in Indigenous Australia. Charles Darwin University (CDU) is a young institution that already has achieved national and international recognition in a number of areas including for graduate employment and research impact. Our 11 campuses and centres are located throughout the Northern Territory, and in Sydney and Melbourne. The main campus is in the culturally rich city of Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory. We provide training at 150 remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory, making CDU one of the most diverse universities in Australia. CDU is a dual sector university, which means our course offerings range from certificate through to doctoral level. More than 24,000 students study with us on campus and online in a range of disciplines including engineering and information technology, the environment, health, psychological and clinical sciences, business, creative arts and humanities, education and law. Around 70% of our higher education students are located across Australia and undertake their studies online. The university is attracting an increasing number of international students, who come from more than 60 countries. Our international student population is drawn particularly to the multicultural character of Darwin. CDU enjoys strong partnerships with other institutions including the Australian National University, Flinders University and the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education, and is a member of the Innovative Research Universities network. We are committed to social justice, sustainability, creativity and collective effort. CDU supports staff and students to follow their passions to help shape a brighter future for everyone.
